  • Wauchope has a new guitar star.

    Anthony Baxter is going from strength to strength.
    Anthony Baxter has really found his niche in the music world over the past 12 months.
    Winning the Clarence Valley Muster walk-up at Ulmarra in October 2017 meant a $2000 recording contract at Lindsay Waddington studios.
    Anthony won a scholarship to the Tamworth Music Academy for a fortnight in January
    said, The academy was a great learning experience. Wonderful to experience the atmosphere, listen to the big stars tell you what you need to know about the music industry, how to present and market yourself.

    Delighted to have been nominated for two awards.
    Finalist in the Gold Medallion Media Award for the Musician of the Year competition
    Finalist in the Stan Coster Memorial Award for Duo of the Year.

    Played 20 gigs at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and released his new CD, a duet with Lindsay Butler called "Boomerang Guitars".
    And since, then there's been no stopping him. He feels he has really found his niche in the music world, Australian bush ballads.

    Anthony has been very active over the past few months - It's been an amazing few months,.
    It's really important to get yourself out there and make yourself known, he said.
    Things are happening fast now. It's great to get out and see the country and meet other musicians.
    This talented young player is traveling all over the country performing at festivals in Queensland and NSW.
    Performances
    Kempsey in February Cessnock in March, Nabiac and Kempsey in April Bundaberg Qld. in May where he will perform for seven days for the Coads Country Muster.
    2017;
    Won the GMMA Collaboration of the Year in 2017 with Lindsay Butler.

    Instrumental of the Year with "Things Are Not The Same On The Land."

    Bungendore Country Music Muster Won the Stan Coster Memorial Award
    Finalist at the Gold Medallion Media Awards musician of the year.

    2018 Barry Thorton Achievement Award Finalist in the Song Writer of the Year for "Huntah’s Melody"
