Ariah Park Mary Gilmore Festival
17-21 October, 2018

A good selection of top Country Music acts has been booked for the Ariah Park Mary Gilmore Festival on October 20th 2018.

Country Music is part of the 5 day festival which will run from Wednesday 17th to Sunday 21st October
And this year will feature the return of some of the favourite artists from previous festivals plus a couple of faces new to the Ariah Park stage.

As a prelude to a great day's entertainment the crowd will be entertained on Friday evening by popular local group, lockstockbingle", a three piece band covering a wide range of musical styles and with an extensive repertoire.
Whether it's country hits or rock & roll from the 50's to today they love to play music that will bring back memories for patrons and and gets them up to dance.

At 8 oclock Saturday morning the early birds will be entertained by Forbes district bush poet, John Sears.
It is John's first visit to the Ariah Park festival and he comes highly recommended so sit back, buy a bacon & egg roll from the men's shed barbecue and enjoy a fun - filled couple of hours.

A great favourite in Ariah Park, Dale Duncan, will be returning for the third time. Dale's sincerity and passion for his music and his country guarantee his place as one of the premier entertainers in the Australian music Industry.
Dale has won many awards for his music and last year had the honour of being voted the National People's Choice winner of Male Vocalist of the Year.
His new album, "What Country's All About" is fast equalling the popularity of "Back to the Bush".-

Returning for the second time, Tom & Patsy Routledge are a husband and wife professional act who love entertaining and seeing people enjoying themselves.
They each had successful solo music careers before joining together as a duo in 2010.
Since then their toe - tapping style of music has made them very popular wherever they perform. Their performance consists of songs from the likes of Dolly Parton, Porter Wagner, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Tammy Wynette, George Jones etc.

Another welcome returnee is Charmaine Pout who this year is filling the dual roles of compere and entertainer.
Charmaine is a veteran of the country music industry who has won many awards during her career and is a regular at many of the festivals including Bungendore and Boondooma.

Multi award winning yodeller, comedienne and country music entertainer,Laura Downing, is always a firm favourite with the fans.
Laura writes her own songs, sings bush ballads, contempory country balladsand, of course, some of the many different styles and types of yodelling.
Her motto is to keep yodelling alive in country. With countless awards both nationally and internationally Laura takes great pride in being somewhat different to other female performers.
Not only can you expect to hear some of the older country favourites, you can also hear bush ballads and award winning yodelling all wrapped up with great comedy and good fun.

New to the Mary Gilmore stage, Gayle O'Neil, is no stranger to Ariah Park having made several very well received appearances at the local hotel.
